Toronto is opening up for business again!

After one of the world’s longest lockdowns and a lengthy series of government restrictions, the people of Toronto can optimistically begin to look forward to getting their city and life back to some resemblance of normal.

Ontario Premier, Doug Ford, is reportedly personally overseeing the development of new regulations that will help to accelerate the re-opening of the city as it begins to leave the covid-19 pandemic firmly in its rear-view mirror.

Understandably, Torontonians have been looking forward to the relaxation of rules that have added complexities to enjoying the restaurant scene, nightlife, and the overall hustle and bustle of the city.

As of a couple of weeks ago, on February 17th, the province of Ontario initiated the next step of its “re-opening plan” four days earlier than it had expected.

On March 1st, all capacity limits on indoor public settings are set to be lifted. While individual businesses may choose to maintain a vaccination check for the safety of their patron and staff, the removal of restrictions illustrates just how far along Toronto is into its recovery and will certainly help to propel the city back to normality.

Masking requirements are expected to remain in force for now.

All of this positive news should fall as music to the ears of Toronto’s residents and visitors, as they look forward to making the most out of a rejuvenated city following months of restrictions.
