Mega restaurant opening on Toronto’s waterfront

A culinary treat is in the making – Toronto’s waterfront is all set to be the home of an exciting new landmark 23,000 sq. ft mega restaurant housed in a 140-year-old shipping warehouse. Called Queens Harbour, the restaurant is scheduled to open in Spring 2025, and is headed up by restauranteurs Ali Badreddine, Iris Jazexhi and Kevin Jazexhi. The new venue promises to offer up Torontonians, and city visitors an eclectic fusion of Mediterranean and Asian dishes – or MediterrAsian as they like to put it.

The huge new Queens Harbour restaurant will be located about a five-minute walk West from the Harbourfront Centre, nestled between the Amsterdam Brewhouse and Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown. The site used to be home to PawsWay Toronto – an entertainment centre focused on ‘all things pets’, but after ten years in business closed its doors back in 2017. Since then, there have been a number of other options for the venue, which were all turned down by the City, until the Queens Harbour concept came along.

The new Queens Harbour venue will seat up to 800 diners and boast an expansive outdoor patio space and retractable roof. The new restaurant will promote itself as a calming waterside oasis, just a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Toronto’s downtown core. Diners will be able to enjoy a vibrant menu that includes sharing dishes, charcoal grilled delights, and even full sushi bar. The drinks menu will be no less exciting, including hand-crafted cocktails with exotic new textures and flavours.

The owners of Queens Harbour believe that the restaurant will provide a much-needed space to this part of the city waterfront where dining out has been historically underestimated. Both Torontonians and visitors alike will be able to relax and enjoy a top-quality food and drink menu, whilst absorbing the waterfront vibe and the beauty of being close to the water. This area has played a huge part in Toronto’s heritage and is steeped in history, which of course adds immensely to its charm.

Queens Harbour’s arrival comes at a time where whole sections of Toronto’s downtown waterfront are having bold transformations. Over the last 15 years this area has waved goodbye to the plethora of parking lots and derelict buildings. In their place brand new beautiful and environmentally friendly neighbourhoods have been designed and built, aimed at being inclusive and accessible to all. Toronto leaders understand what a unique and valuable asset the waterfront is and is encouraging investment in the area to help make it a top waterfront city.
