Summer is here in Toronto, and there’s plenty of places to eat and drink outside to keep you well and truly entertained. It’s not just those tempting bar and restaurant patios either – the city is again holding a whole host of exciting festivals and events all summer long for you to dip into and enjoy. 1: Toronto Beaches Rib & Beer festival

Did you say ribs and beer?! What’s not to enjoy! This event being held at Woodbine Park in mid June is sure to bring a whole hog of finger lickin’ fun, and there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy. Over this action weekend make room in your stomach to try all the delicious BBQ food available – ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, poutine, blooming onions and other tasty treats. Vegetarian options will be available too.

2: Taste Of Little Italy

Mamma Mia! Summer just wouldn’t be the same without this annual event that brings in folks across the city and further afield. Over 200 local business are taking part in 2024 between Bathurst and Shaw to bring you everything Italian – retail, music, culture and of course fabulous eating and drinking! This year the festival features a projection art show where you can find out more about how this vibrant neighborhood started. Taste of Little Italy is happening at the same time as the Rib & Beer festival this year, so you’re going to have plan well and split your culinary attention.

3: Wine Fest Toronto

Wine and summer go hand in hand, so this 3-day festival at Roundhouse Park is the perfect place for wine lovers to enjoy the sun (hopefully!) and explore over 100 wines from Canada and across the world. From British Columbia to California and Spain to South Africa, the festival offers a chance to sip on fine wines and new creations. You won’t go hungry either, as there are a whole host of food trucks offering culinary delights such as BBQ, Caribbean, Oysters, Vegetarian and more.

4: Toronto’s Festival of Beer

Presented by The Beer Store, Toronto’s Festival of Beer has become Canada’s premier event for beer lovers across Ontario and further afield. It’s not just the huge selection of brews to sample either – there’s great music to get your toes tapping, from country to hip-hop and pop to alternative rock. Need a break from sampling all those great drinks? No problem! This year there will be wide range of food vendors to satisfy whatever cravings you have – burgers, poutine, oysters…you name it! Toronto’s Festival of Beer promises to be the perfect place to submerge yourself in celebrating Canada’s favourite drink in the company of friends.

5: Waterfront Night Market

If you’re love Asian cuisine, then this festival at Stanley Barracks in early August is just for you. The Waterfront Night Market, known as WNM, offers us an outdoor culinary adventure with street food vendors serving up enticing Asian cuisine in a night market style setting. Take in the tastes and smells of Asia, whilst enjoying interactive attractions, colourful light displays and nightly cultural performances and entertainment. This year the WNM promises to transport you from Toronto to a traditional street-style Asian market.
